Royal Favour Students Visit OYSHA

In a bid to educate and improve the knowledge of students about government and its activities, students of Royal Favour College, Akobo, Ibadan on Thursday visited the Oyo State House of Assembly in Ibadan.

The students who expressed delight at the opportunity of witnessing the plenary session of the house, says ”it’s a privilege seeing the law-makers in the act of the business of law-making.”

According to the facilitators of the excursion, Mr Sanmi Alawode, a teacher from the science department and Mr Adesola, the Civic Education teacher in the school, noted that the visit to the OYSHA complex was aimed at allowing the students to have the practical knowledge of Civic Education and Government as subjects that are being taught in schools.

They however said exposing students to the practical aspect of what is taught in the classroom, will further help to complement the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in class.

Another teacher that went with the students, Miss Shile, from the social science department, lauds the initiative as a right step to building the students up politically.
