Royal Favour College Celebrate World Cultural Day In Style

As the people all over the world marks World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development 2018, students of Royal Favour College, Akobo, Ibadan have been urged to always project their culture at all times since culture is a way of life of a people.

While addressing the students of the institution earlier today, Mr Alawode Sanmi, a teacher in the school called on the students to always see their culture as an important element of their existence. He urged them not to allow Western culture to take over their lifestyle but to balance ideal Western values together with the rich cultural values of our society.

He noted that Nigeria is rich in cultural heritage and that the students must not allow the diversity of our different culture to go into extinction.

This year’s theme for the 2018 World Cultural Day is ” Integrating Young Ones Into Nigeria’s Cultural Heritage.”

Among activities highlighted for the World Cultural Day celebration in the school were recitation of songs in native languages, poem recitation and exhibition of different local attires.
