CareExtra Pharmacy Organises Free Health Talk For Customers, Residents

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to customers, CareExtra Pharmacy has organised a one-day free health talk for the people of Akobo and its environs.

Speaking to thecrusaderng.com at the venue of the event at CareExtra Pharmacy, Alegongo, Akobo, Pharm. Anthony Samuel who spoke on behalf of the management said CareExtra Pharmacy organised the event as a way of giving back to the community.

He noted that the Pharmacy offered free eye check, free blood sugar test, free blood pressure check and also gave out 55 recommended eye glasses for those in need of the glasses. He however said the pharmacy is positioned to serving their customers better.

Thecrusaderng.com who stumbled on the event said a Consultant Dentist, Dr Afolabi who spoke at the event, urged the people to always create time to visit a Dentist at least once in three months. He described the mouth as an important part of the body that needs attention.

Speaking on the topic: ”Caring for the mouth,” he called on the participants at the health talk to always use soft brush to brush their mouth warning that hard brush can damage the gum.

A customer, Pastor Olaide Emmanuel described the free health talk as a laudable idea which other organisations in the health industry should emulate.

Another person, Mrs Mojisola said the talk was timely as some people who didn’t know that they have high blood pressure and diabetes discovered and were counseled appropriately.

Highlight of the event was free eye check, free blood sugar test, free blood pressure check and free eye glasses for people.
