Akeredolu Wins Ondo Governorship Election

The All Progressive Congress(APC) candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu(SAN), has been elected as the governor-elect of Ondo state.

The Chief Returning Officer, Prof. A. Ambali, announced Mr Rotimi Akeredolu(SAN) has the governor-elect after pulling 244,842 votes ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, with 150,380 votes and Olusola Oke, Alliance for Democracy with 126,889 votes.

Prof. Ambali stated that the total number of registered voters in all the 18 LGAs is 1,647,973,while the number of accredited voters is 584,997. He stated that 580,887 votes were cast and the number of valid votes is 551,272.  The results are as follows:
