A call has gone out to youths to show more zeal for good works in order to be able to distinguish themselves in this present age.
Pastor Emmanuel Gesinde of Nehemiah Christian Centre, made this remark while delivering a lecture titled ”Peculiar Youth” at the 2018 Youth week lecture organized by the Unchangeable Christ Evangelical Ministry(UCEM), Akobo, Ibadan.
Pastor Gesinde noted that for youths to be able to make exploits in this world, they must be committed to living a righteous life and also exhibit quality service to God’s work. While reading from 1 Peter 2:9-10, he described the youths as the chosen ones by God, and a royal Priesthood, urging them to manifest the works of God on earth.
”As a priest you have direct access to God. You don’t wait to experience God through anyone else, you can go directly to God,” he said.
Also at the event, Pastor Oloyede, a senior Pastor in UCEM, urged the youths to shun ungodliness and embrace righteousness as a way of life. He called on the youths to shun all forms of social vices that could derail them from fulfilling purpose in life.
